Enemy NPCss & Story Progress
I've managed to get the fundamentals of what I find to be the hardest part of this project in place! There are now enemy soliders; they shoot at you, wander about, take damage and die. They are incredibly simple at the moment, but I'm happy that I have them working to this point to begin with.
I would love to have smarter enemy AI of course. That's not within my current capabilities, but I'd love to give it a go down the line.
I have found building out the world, story and overall atmosphere of the game to be so much fun. It's all beginning to come together, and it 'feels' how I want it to. For the submission of the project, I need 2 levels done. Level 1 (in the video( is about 90% the way there, and I've been chipping away at level 2.
Over the summer and going forward, I do want to spend much more time with this project to flesh out all the game systems, make the gameplay more in-depth and engaging, and have a full, complete story delivered through a few levels.
