A downloadable game

CONTAINMENT (TBC) is my WIP 2nd year college project. The game is a first-person shooter whereby the player takes control of Subject-115; a prisoner/test subject held captive in a covert cold war laboratory-prison complex, hidden deep in the Russian arctic. Drawing inspiration from the MK Ultra mind-control experiments, the grim worlds of F.E.A.R, The SCP Foundation and Trepang2, and themes of human transience into digital form,. I aim to create a mysterious, atmospheric, and violent story and world.

We build our projects primarily from pre-built 3D assets and character models as to  learn our way about the Unity engine, put design principles into practice, and execute our ideas in game form.  So far, it has been great practice in level design, scripting, audio design and generally learning how Unity as a whole works. 

The YouTube video linked showcases just about everything I have added to the game so far. It's buggy, but it holds together and is further than I expected to be at this point. Shortly, I will be adding to the Devlog section with level diagrams, design decisions and the specific systems in the game. I will also be including a list of all the pre-built assets used (so far).

The project deadline is mid-May 2025. I'm hoping to have a decent, playable build finished by then to upload here. Once that is done, I'll be working on my own game over the summer built from scratch using my own assets.  Fun!
